The Journal of AI and Integrative Medicine (JAIIM) is committed to maintaining the highest standards of scholarly publishing through a transparent, fair, timely, and rigorous editorial process. Every manuscript submitted to the journal is evaluated according to its scientific quality, originality, methodological rigor, ethical compliance, and relevance to the journal's aims and scope.
The editorial process is designed to ensure that all publication decisions are based solely on academic merit and are made independently of commercial interests, institutional affiliations, nationality, gender, ethnicity, political beliefs, or religious considerations.
Authors submit their manuscripts through the journal's online submission system. All submissions must comply with the journal's Author Guidelines and include all required declarations, including authorship information, ethical approvals (where applicable), conflict of interest disclosures, funding information, and data availability statements, when relevant.
Following submission, the Editorial Office performs an initial assessment to determine whether the manuscript:
Falls within the journal's aims and scope.
Meets the journal's formatting and submission requirements.
Demonstrates sufficient scientific quality and originality.
Complies with ethical and editorial policies.
Contains all required documentation.
Manuscripts that do not meet these basic requirements may be returned to the authors for correction or declined without external peer review.
All manuscripts are screened using plagiarism detection software before peer review. Manuscripts showing evidence of plagiarism, duplicate publication, or unethical publication practices may be rejected in accordance with the journal's Publication Ethics and Plagiarism Policy.
Manuscripts that successfully pass the initial assessment are assigned to an Editor or Associate Editor with expertise relevant to the subject area. The assigned editor oversees the peer-review process and makes recommendations based on reviewer feedback and editorial evaluation.
JAIIM operates a double-blind peer-review process, in which the identities of both authors and reviewers remain confidential throughout the review process.
Each manuscript is normally evaluated by at least two independent reviewers with appropriate subject expertise. Reviewers assess manuscripts based on:
Originality and scientific contribution
Methodological quality
Technical accuracy
Ethical compliance
Clarity of presentation
Relevance to the journal's scope
Validity of conclusions
Reviewers provide constructive comments and recommendations to assist both the editors and authors.
After considering the reviewers' reports, the assigned editor makes one of the following decisions:
Accept
Minor Revision
Major Revision
Reject
Editorial decisions are based on the overall scientific merit of the manuscript and the reviewers' recommendations. The Editor-in-Chief has final responsibility for publication decisions.
Authors receiving revision requests should submit a revised manuscript together with a detailed point-by-point response addressing each reviewer comment.
Revised manuscripts may be returned to the original reviewers for further evaluation when necessary.
Once a manuscript satisfies the journal's scientific, editorial, and ethical standards, it is formally accepted for publication.
Accepted manuscripts proceed to the production stage.
During production, manuscripts undergo:
Professional copyediting
Language and formatting review
Typesetting
Metadata preparation
DOI assignment
Author proof review
Authors are provided with page proofs to review and approve before final publication.
Following final approval, the article is published online as part of the journal's official issue and becomes immediately available under the journal's Open Access policy.
All published articles receive a Digital Object Identifier (DOI) and are permanently accessible through the journal website.
Throughout the editorial process, JAIIM is committed to:
Editorial independence
Fair and unbiased evaluation
